Her glossy silver skin offset the brightness of her red dress. She sat and waited, as she always did, for him to arrive. She looked around with a pout, reached into her purse, and retrieved her cigarettes and lighter. Her boredom was palatable to anyone that walked near her. Her long delicate fingers lightly pressed together to hold the unlit cigarette in place. Lazily, she brought it to her lips and the lighter followed.

“I thought you said you were quitting,” he said from behind her.

“No, I said I would quit, if you were ever on time,” she smirked.
